On July 19, Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced plans to launch a new THX service connecting Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Japan to meet growing transportation demand. The THX service is scheduled to depart from Bangkok Port on August 10, with the port rotation as follows: Bangkok – Laem Chabang – Ho Chi Minh City – Nansha – Hakata – Osaka – Kobe.

ONE commented on the new service: THX will provide our customers with a new direct route and faster shipping services, with a transit time of just 10 days from Laem Chabang to Hakata.,

Since the beginning of this year, liner companies have adjusted or added intra-Asia services to meet market demand. In June, Pacific International Lines (PIL) launched the new KCS service connecting major ports in China, South Korea, the Strait of Malacca, and Vietnam, with its maiden voyage departing from Busan Port on July 6.

Meanwhile, Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) introduced the new CIS2 service in the same month, directly connecting multiple ports in China, Indonesia, and the Philippines to enhance network coverage. Additionally, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) launched a new intra-Asia service in May connecting major ports in China and India to meet growing transportation demand and strengthen connectivity between Asian ports.

In addition to launching new intra-Asia services, MSC has upgraded 11 existing intra-Asia services to further expand and strengthen its intra-Asia network. These upgrades aim to provide customers with new direct services, reduce transit times, and increase capacity. These measures are designed to better meet market demand and deliver superior services.
